Symbolic Ceremonies
Symbolic ceremonies are becoming increasingly popular every year in Italy. Although they do not have legal validity, they can be arranged anywhere in Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast, a charming villa on top of the sea, a hotel with sea view terrace and even on a private boat! The symbolic ceremony is a valid option to a civil ceremony, if you want to experience a wedding ceremony avoiding any paperwork or if have already had a legally binding ceremony at home. Working together with our English native wedding celebrant you can create a personalised wedding service without any of the legal requirements of a civil ceremony. Symbolic elements can be chosen to reflect your personalities, to represent you as a couple, to incorporate religious or cultural traditions, or simply as a display of the love you have for each other.
Why we love symbolic ceremonies :
You can choose exactly the style, length and feel of your wedding ceremony.
There are no restrictions on locations, therefore you can have everything ‘under one roof’ to avoid moving your guests from location to location.
It saves you money as you do not have to complete the legal paperwork required in order to marry in Italy, nor do you have to pay a separate fee to the relevant town hall.
You can add in symbolic elements such as candles, wine ceremonies, sand ceremonies, ring warming … the list is endless.
Symbolic Ceremonies are perfect for those looking to renew their vows.
What to be aware of :
You will need to complete the legal paperwork process at home to ensure your marriage is legally binding.
